The Opioid Response Network Training is a FREE two-day, in-person meeting designed for organizations or individuals who want to learn more about evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery for opioid use disorder (OUD). The Opioid Response Network is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to help build the capacity of communities to address the opioid epidemic. For this event, the ORN is will provide training that meets the needs of the substance use disorder community. This two-day course covers the following topics: 1. The Opioid Epidemic in New Mexico and how New Mexico is taking action to impact the epidemic. 2. Evidence-Based Approaches to Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery. 3. Effective Approaches for Youth and Adolescents. 4. Family-Centered Care. 5. Stigma Reduction Approaches. A significant part of the training will focus on identifying strategies that can support New Mexico's ongoing initiatives to more effectively impact the epidemic in New Mexico.
